The gloves allow boxers to take far more blows to the head without getting knocked out. All those blows cause the brain to move around. Probably says something about Bill.<BR/><BR/>However, it seems that the study Bill cited in the British journal and Mr. White have a different opinion as to what constitues a serious injury. And, quite frankly, concussions are serious and do, in many instances, lead to some form of permenant cognitive disability. But hey, in a culture that prizes the physical over mental abilities, it's no wonder that concussions, brain injuries, and other head trauma are ignored and not considered that big a deal.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
