Anonymous said...: I usually go for the underdog, and Silva is NEVER it. I remember his unreasonable hostility toward Okami after he delivered Okami an illegal up-kick. That event left me thinking Silva was just another douche bag, but people certainly do change and Silva has, for the better. That transition in attitude just shows the difference in mind set between Chute Boxe and Big Nog's camp. I hope he continues to contribute to MMA even after he's done fighting.

What better way then to end it at the top of your game? So many people hold onto it way past their prime (Ken Shamrock, Liddell, etc.) I say good for him.

With 6 remaining fights, I'd like to see him clean out the rest of the division and then go after the LHW belt.

I think he'd need to beat some real stud upandcomer and or a couple of lightheavy standouts to really stamp his name. A fight between he and Fedor would be my dream. Ahhhh, yes, Anderson and Fedor. Anonymous said...: you know, seriously speaking. fedor vs anderson is not totally impossible. fedor is actually shorter than silva. fedor is a tubby and i would guess could lose about 25lbs easily. only thing after that would be for silva to beef up 25lbs(which wouldnt be that easy, but doable in a year). although neither of them is really gonna make that happen, it is cool to imagine a fight like that... bottom line is that its possible but not gonna happen.; October 18, 2008 11:41 AM
