yeah he's different alright, he wears a woman's pantie on his head and has more gold on his body than king midas ever touched. actually neither being black nor having no taste whatsoever (or both combined) is new. thompson was a good crash-dummy nothing more and nothing less, but kimbo struggled like he was in a real though fight. his fame is a shame for mma, probably good in the short-run for publicity, but bad reputation in the long one. especially when kimbo begins to lose and shows that he is just an overrated streetboxer, who's famous for some youtube boxing-videos and his cameo appearances in internet porn.
I stopped watching when Kimbo said James Thompson has a good chin. ESPN is doing very well covering MMA, now they just need to realize that Kimbo is nowhere near to being the future of the sport and stop giving him so much press.
Kimbo came off like a dumbass jock in this interview
Another champion under his belt?? wtf? he hasnt fought one
ESPN or rather PTI is a joke
I agree he gets way to much attention for being new to the sport though i always liked his you tube vids. but whats next. if he continues to fight noboddies or has beens it will only hurt him in the long run. seriously who is he gonna fight next dan severen or maybe 94 year old ceasar gracie. but atleast they arn't giving him a tittle shot like the are giving brock lesnar who has even less cred. mma is becoming a joke. its not about who the best fighter its sany more . its all about who is the most popular and who will bring the promoters the most money
It's easy for Kimbo to say "let them step in the cage with me", but also "I will (only) fight who my management says i'm ready for..
So in truth, he sais he's not scared of anyone, while he ducks everyone better than him.
Kimbo was hiped up, he embarased the sport with his shitty performance against James Thompson, he himself is embarased, now he's been told to act like he's the shits again, so he does. He's only a marketable tool, used by Bas Rutten/hdnet/strickforce.
BJ Penn would take Kimbo...
This interview shows kimbo is more of a gentlemen than all the commenters so far.
Wait - but all the commenters so far are probably little kids so that doesn't matter.
"actually neither being black nor having no taste whatsoever (or both combined) is new."
I love your site, but I've noticed alot of racist comments slip through here. Can you screen this a little better please so these idiots can stop having a voice.
Kimbo is a humble dude who's fought cans and he knows he's fought cans. The guy's not a moron, if he was Joe Nobody everyone would be talking about how much potential he may have. It's not his fault people wanna put him in main events and TV spots. What do you want him to do? What would you do? Say no thank you? He was homeless and fighting in backyards for money, I say good for him.
where the hell is the ultimate fighter epiode 2?
kimbo is an all right cool dude, BUT im preaty sure he's getting way too much publicity when better fighters deserve it.

He said another "legend". In many eyes Tank is a legend in mma, Dana even said he planned to put him in the UFC hall of fame.
And Ken Shamrock is no can. He's younger than Couture, still in great shape and obviously has a lot of knowledge about fighting.
I can't wait for Kimbo to beat an unquestionably good mma fighter. Then so many a-holes are going to have eat their words.
I agree, you have been letting some racist comments come thru, this takes away from the real beauty of the sport and yeah! where the hell is the Ultimate fighter 2 episode???? Please dont slack. we all tune in SEVERAL times a day and we put food on your table.
I'm black and i can't detect racism in this comment section (others sometimes have them i'm afraid).
But don't be over sensible please. the first poster refers quite obviously to the things Kimbo says in the interview and unfortunately it's somewhat true. Kimbo is famous for being a big (black) freak, which they (the white media folks) can display and exploit as long as possible. that's why they always try to talk about his homeless background and shit, as if the great american dream still exist for everyone. Kimbo and his associates are the opportunists of the worst kind. sure Kimbo would be stupid to not play along, but doesn't make it alright. there are many many hard working fighters out there, who deserve that kind of media attention far more than he does (more charismatic ones). I pity that Thompson guy, cos even he would have deserved more than Kimbo right now, but seems not even earn enough money to have someone drain the blood from his ear. Kimbo may appear humble sometimes, but he's a puppet and changes his talk all the time (from being a humble mma-student to the biggest sensation ever back and forth).
