Haha, I've already seen it, but I think it's pretty funny that the freeze frame image is Rashad standing over a limp Liddell with Herb Dean flying in from the side. The spoiler is pretty much right there.

It kills me when people say the phrase, "one punch knock out."
As opposed to what? A two puncher?...or a 5 punch KO? Guess what shit for brains ALL knock outs are ONE PUNCH...sure, other punches may come after the one that KO'd somebody...but at that point, he's already KO'd...and now you're just bouncin' his head off the canvas.
Having read many comments on a number of mma blogs, it seems that a lot of the redneck fans that Liddell unfortunately has following him, are all bent out of shape about Evans knocking him the fuck the fuck out.
I have to say as a black man (and yes many of us do follow this sport)it brings a certain level of satisfaction that Liddell was KO'ed by a brother. Not becos I have anything remotely against Liddell (a man who comes out to DMX is not so bad in my books). However to those fans who constantly wrote Evans off, you wankers (I'm British) can eat a dick.So to all nay sayers and crackers "HA in your face."
Peace....
creeves, most knockouts are the result of combo's. The victim first get's rocked by one or more hits, then when their guard is down and they aren't properly defending, they get KO'd. Think Rampage/Wand 2.
Evans knocked Chuck out without any setup punches, it was one landed hit, then the floor.
One punch KO. "Shit for brains" indeed.
Actually retard, it means that it wasn't in a flurry. Its one punch all by itself.
Most times people get hit with a bunch of punches and the one final punch does the job. There were no punches right before it, just CRACK lights out. Hence, one punch KO genius...
Don't try to be an smart ass..... Won't get you anywhere. Sorry to break the news.
Csreeves,
One punch ko as opposed to repeated punches that rock, stagger and then KO the opponent?
Many knockout punches wouldn't be if not for the ones preceding them.
KTFO!
the phrase "it kills me..." is even more stupid xD
I doubt rashad will get a title shot. Keith Jardine was right up for the title also and got KTFO by vanderlei. The smart thing would be to put Rashad vs. Wanderlei. And the winner there should go for the belt.
Csreeves,
Multiple strikes or blows to the head have a cumulative effect. It is much more difficult to KO somebody with a single shot without any previous strikes because there is not that cumultive build up. Therefore, you would have to connect with a strike with much more force to KO somebody with a single shot when compared to tagging a guy a bunch of times before that.
Also, this explains why someone who has suffered a concussion before will get concussed easier in the future. And it is also why sports figures who have multiple concussions are sometimes forced to retire. Because after a certain point, the next concussion could just kill you.
Yes, you are right that the punches follwing a KO are just extra. The damage has been done. However, you are missing the point because it is the strikes before the KO that are doing the damage and having that cumulative effect on the brain. They are all contributing to the KO. The actual final KO punch or kick is just the nail in the coffin.
