tylr said...: I'm not so impressed by Demian Maia. If someone like Jason Macdonald can hold his own against him in what is basically a submission fight, his MMA-BJJ can't be as great as everyone says.
And then there are those punches... I hope he wasn't throwing those to do any damage. I don't think any grown man should punch like that.

I'll reserve my judgement until I've seen some of his other fights though.

Not to say this wasn't a good fight. Very closely matched and fun.

There are other BJJ practitioners who, to me, seem more impressive.
