I think he's got a chance... San Shou is so different than what the MMA guys are doing for the most part. You just don't see MMA guys throwing a lot of side kicks. Or looking to trap kicks(Silva did in his last fight to great effect). Cung talks about Rampage in the video.. Rampage would have destroyed Forrest if he'd taken two lessons from Cung and learned to catch that sloppy high kick and sloppy front kick that Forrest throws.

Anyway, yeah, Cung does lack KO power, but he seldom throws a kick intended for a KO. His common weapon, the side kick, acts more like a jab. It won't KO someone, but like a boxer working the body, it will take the air out of an opponent and fatigue them for later rounds. The round kick he throws is different from muay thai, it's from a wider base, and is built for speed, rather than putting your whole hip into it and kicking through a tree.

Can he beat Silva?? I don't know about that... Silva is so fast, so strong, and so good at jujitsu.
