just more proof that tae kwon do sucks...the ref just shook off the kick, and didn't even fall down...if that were a muay thai kick to the face without warning...no question lights out

TKD is a sport with so much politics. Steven Lopez whining and now this. I feel with the Cuban, if you are winning and your toe is broken, what the fuck are you supposed to do? Angel got robbed, ref deserved to be sent to the hospital...

I thought retards compete in the special olympics, no?

That REFEREE deserve more than 1 kick.

Im sure is not right to do that but WTF if it was timeout why the guy keep the Clock running ?

i think banned is too much for that i have seen worse than that in many other non combat sports and only get a suspension..

Now give me Anderson Silva vs this guy MATOS

Plug him in MMA and lets have fun

All that protection is crazy. That is why MMA will never be in the olympics. at least not for a very long time.

All of a sudden Brock Lesnar doesn't seem so childish any more.

1. Bullshit disqual, but it was the medical staff's fault, not the ref's. He had no choice.

2. Absolutely uncalled for act by the fighter anyway.

3. Weak kick, didn't even knock him down.

TKD is at the end of the line in the olympics, methinks.

That dumb Cuban guy had no right to kick the ref. It wasn't even the refs fault that the fight got stopped. That dumbass took longer than the allotted 1 min injury time and the olympic officials called the fight, not the ref. Plus, his kick is weak sauce. It didnt even phase the guy. Didn't even knock him down.

That was despicable. He should go back to selling drugs.

I masturbated to this Video, thanks!

WTF? The Cubans must be crazy, they know the rules (i dont know jack shit about TKD) but the commentator said that the athlete has 1 minute of "injury" time, if he isnt ready to fight after that its game over.. now he didnt stand up during the 1 min so he lost.

Oh ye I agree with Chris... proper MT high kick without warning -> Lights out no question!

Dude...

In olympic tae kwon do, you're allowed to get one full minute (no more than that) to attend to an injury. Nothing more. He took longer and couldn't return - Hence, DQ'd.

all the people hating on the ref are forgetting one thing, the ref was the one following the rules, he had exactly 60 seconds tor recover and he took 63 seconds so he was disqualified, ive never heard of a 12 or 13 count in boxing, so hes out, fuck him

someone tell this idiot he's represending a country

The one thing no one has yet brought up is this...

He stood up walked around in about 3 circles and KICKED! (wrong guy, but still, he kicked)

...so exactly how bad was the injury??? Or was the extra 15 seconds of walking around yelling at the ref what he needed to recoup?

Watch the video again and see how fast this Cuban dipshit pops to his feet (with not a hitch)and starts pacing...all while terribly injured.

Two words....MENTAL TOUGHNESS...(and this guys doesn't know the meaning)

he was mad cuz borat won lol
but yeah shameful behavior.. i loved when the commentator said "i never seen that on any sport" lol welcome to mma, hockey, footbal, err.. i laugh

I thought it was funny. Poor sportsmanship of course, but funny. I can't believe they still teach that stuff, Tae Kwon Do, it's almost like teaching kids to build houses with paper.

I have a buddy who I teach kung-fu to and he is taking TKD classes. And I feel its like this: if you want to study a martial art and don't care for any practical self-defense, take up Yoga.

Poor sportsmanship, the ref didnt deserve a kick...PERIOD. He should've talked to the ref or the coach shouldve talked to him..not fucking kicked him in the face. Ban is a definate, he knows right and wrong, fucking cubans....
