"You close your eyes, she could kill you" I got a kick out of some of the jokes cause I've seen the Bas original self-defense vids, and he used a couple of the lines, same format, etc. Rock on Bas! Bas' humor is a bit more goofy in nature, but he does a great job of looking really intimidating. If you were next to him I wouldn't know if you should laugh or not. Maybe that's how he handles himself for-real. Good strategy.; August 26, 2008 9:41 AM

1. Bas wasn't serious
2. Daryn is most likely a fan of Bas doing the parody in good-nature

Bas is my favorite MMA fighter/personality, but you have to admit his self-defense DVD is silly. The teachings are nearly useless and Bas has hilarious mannerisms -- it's begging to be made fun of. I think it should have been marketed as a comedy cause it's hilarious; August 26, 2008 8:47 PM

The first time I ever heard of Bas was some clips on youtube of his self defense videos. I totally thought he was an asshole. then I got into MMA and learned who he was, and realized he's gotta be one of the greatest guys around. He is without a doubt my favorite commentator. I love how he has such an intimate knowledge of fighting, he can often predict someone's move 4 or 5 seconds before they do it!; August 29, 2008 8:02 PM
