Great performance by Josh Barnett. Without taking nothing away from him i think Rodrigo has always had problems with bigger guys, such as Barnett. The main reason is he doesn't pack enough punch and he's a very non explosive fighter. He has great BJJ though and props for Barnett for staying out of subs.
Great fight really

This is my favorite heavyweight fight of all time.

When Barnett was interviewed after the fight, he claimed Big Nog verbally submitted--he screamed it--to the knee bar at the end of the fight.

that was like watching 2 glaciers fight

"that was like watching 2 glaciers fight"

I don't exactly agree with this sentiment, but that is absolutely one of the best comments I've ever heard or read about a fight.

Glaciers? YOu haven't seen butterbean fight have you? That's a glacier.

I thought that was a close one. Nog definitely won the 1st round, with the mount and the sub attempts, side control twice. 2nd round I guess went to Josh, but close one. Josh is sort of a pudgy one isn't he?

Amazing fight! I was really impressed by Barnett here, but both fighers were very interesting in this fight...

Great fight between two great heavyweights.
I personally think Nogueira was more dominant throughout the fight and should have won, but nonetheless, this was fun to watch. (Plus Nogueira got his revenge in his next fight..)

Great fight. I now respect Josh Barnett. What about their second fight, can it be posted?

"I now respect Josh Barnett." Why would it take you until watching this fight to recognize a top-5 heavyweight?

Only one of his losses to Crocop is legit--the last one, which went to decision.

Great fight 100x better than anything ive seen in the UFC

I definately miss pride great rules great fights. how dumb can you be to own the rights to pride (zuffa) and not tap into that market in japan by having pride events they sell out areas 3x the size in the U.S I hope one day they decide to start up pride again why not either that or wait for dream to become as big as pride which eventually it will with fighters leaving UFC and new talent
