I never understood it...his record isnt good for a supposed great fighter, hes 16-8...he's dropped 3 of his last 7 fights, and he's lost to some small name guys. And it took him 5 full rounds to beat a guy fedor destroyed in under a minute. Don't get me wrong, i have a lotta respect for the guy for doin what he does at the level he does it at 45, but i dont understand why people say he's the answer to fedor, or such a great fighter...anybody wanna explain?; July 23, 2008 11:52 AM

Anonymous said...: i agree, randy does the same sport as fedor, but he almost plays in another league. randy did great things, but nothing compares them to the accomplishments of fedor. one thing i especially don't understand is why some ppl assume that fedor isn't as good as he was in his pride days, just because he didn't fight every 3 months, whereby the truth is, that he probably is even better than ever before. he practically never lost a fight (neither by k.o. nor submission) in mma or sambo. he's the last emperor - get used to it. i'd rather see him fight barnett, arlovski or bignog a 3rd time than randy. but maybe randy will put up a good last show, and he's often in for a nice surprising fight. fedor on the other hand can finally shut the ufc-fanboys up for good. let it happen. just don't expect couture to win.; July 23, 2008 6:22 PM
Anonymous said...: you guys are crazy, No one no one in the sport of MMA has accomplished what randy has accomplished 6 time ufc champion in two different wieght classes was able to win when everyone expected him to lose, is the master of strategy and gameplans classy as they come didnt just beat tim by UD dominated him in every area including the stand up who thought that randy would outstrike tim NO ONE. Yes fedor dominated tim and was able to finish tim on the ground randy wasnt able to sink in the choke thats the only difference Randy dominating tim for 5 rounds was more impressive to me than fedor submitting tim in 36 seconds.

what person with a brain can bet the house against randy. I personally think fedor will beat him but I wouldnt be suprised one bit if randy pulls out another miracle.

I could care less what his record is look at his accomplishments and what hes been able to do. A true warrior is someone who is willing to fight the biggest (forget about wieght classes) and best guys in the world. He wants to fight Fedor (32) the scariest fighter in the world and randys 45 and he thinks he can beat him thats why hes hyped up as much as he is thats why hes a hall of famer thats why hes a legend thats why everyone including fedor looks up to and respects him; July 24, 2008 11:56 AM
