First, how can you say Tim is not a contender!? He has been the UFC champion as of THIS YEAR (yes, he was the UFC champ only a couple of months ago) and he is ALWAYS ranked in the top 5, or 6 by all major sites.

Second, James Irwin is not even ranked and the only worthwhile guy he beat was Houston Alexander, who's not ranked either.

I am not taking anything away from Anderson. I am a huge fan, but he beat Franklin and Henderson and who else? Chris Leben? Fedor has beaten the who's who of MMA heavyweights.

i can understand your point; but Silva did fight a can; a sloppy slugger; someone perfect for his style.
While Fedor destroyed a world top contender.

Sylvia is wildly recognized as a top contender for the heavy weight; regardless you choose to admit it or not for the purpose of strengthening your argument.

Fedor fight guys that are much taller; and 40-80 pounds heavier than him.

Sylva usually fight guys that are very similar to his physic.

Sylva lost in the past; Fedor never loose.

Fedor fight at around 230, and we could see how easily Silva made the weight at 205; a fight between the too is not impossible in theory (Fedor cutting a bit of weight; and Silva putting 10 more pounds on) but the odds on that fight would strongly favor Fedor; obviously.; July 21, 2008 5:54 AM
