10 years. But what I'm thinking is damn, 1 30 minute round? When somebody is gassed out in round 2 of a 3 5-minute round fight you've just gotta shake your head.
I'm an american fan of MMA...and while I like this old school format for a fight.... there's NO WAY you could market this format to the general american public!
Could you imagine how much this would change the game in the UFC?!? 3 x 5 min rounds or 5 x 5 min Championship fights with rest in between means you don't have to have the stamina to go 30 min straight...although my guess is, things would just get sloppy for most after about 10 minutes. The cardio kings would dominate in this environment and the muscle bound would flounder terribly.
That was kinda hard to watch at times.
unbelievable stamina displayed by both. chuck looked great!
but as a student of medicine i would bet my ass on the guess that pele took some amphetamin/other "upper" before because hes almost not bleeding after all these hits and despite the high blood pressure.
no way his peripheral veins would be that tight without stimulants
