Alavutdin Gadzhiyev vs Hikaru Sato Video- Pancrase Shining 2- KO From Underneath Mount!

This is the knockout I was talking about from Ralek Gracie's DREAM 4 opponent. First time I've ever seen a KO from that position.

I'm surprised he can generate that much force from the bottom. Either that or the other man has a weak chin.

well. that's a first :)

crazy! i've always wondered if it was possible

Punches and elbows form the bottom are way too underused. It's a great way to put your opponent off balance and set up for a sweep (or get a ko apparently).

I think this did more to show how the other guy was just a chump. I'm not one for unnecessary shots to a ko'd opponent but it's almost justified here as a message to the other guy to find a new hobby haha
do cans know they're cans?

Amazing... but I definitely would not count on that happening... ever... rofl...

is this a pancrase event or just a regular mma event? if so isnt it suppose to be an open palm strike for pancrase. They both were using fist haha. so i could be wrong, need clarification.

LOL no Pancrase started allowing punches a long time ago. It was open-palm strikes only back in Bas/Ken Shamrock/Frank Shamrock/Funaki/Suzuki's days but that was a long time ago, it has real MMA rules now.

PS did you get this from my post on Sherdog? I just posted it there recently (LMW87 is my username, I posted this in the pictures and multimedia forum)

to clarify: Pancrase changed their rules to a mma-style rule set similar to Pride FC and Shooto back in 1998-2000.

Definitely the guy on top has a glass jaw, but it was also a pretty great punch from the bottom... but that dude on the bottom should never have let himself get mounted like that.

Goes to show that its always worth a shot.

No way!
This shouldn't happen.
Without taking credit from the KO guy, the Jap has no chin.
Good grappler, can't take a hit.

Open palm strikes are old-school shootfighting, I don't think many organizations use that rule anymore.

that dude has a weak chin...that's the only reason it happened... he got 3 hits in quick succession in the same spot, so the recoil probably made him dizzy. I don't think he was "ko'ed" in one hit, he probably got dizzy and then after that, the next wave of strikes ko'ed him.

yeah, he braced himself before his head hit the ground so he couldn't have been ko'ed by one of those hits

Its a new Secret Gracie Strategy called the Dizzy Horse.

1) Get Mounted
2) Wait for opponent to start swinging.
3) If he is a short asian guy swing your ape arms up into his chin.
4) repeat 3

Shhhhh don't let out the secret move!
