That fight was in 2003. I hate that dumb pride spanks UFC champ. He also lost to Ryo Chonan in pride. Ryo Chonan who lost to Karo in the UFC. Both PRIDE/Dream and UFC have good fighters who could beat members of the other organization any given day. but on the business end UFC is better. cause the shows PRIDE had way more people going to them and they still couldnt stay afloat.

I'd say a rematch would be good... Not sure if this JJ is still doing it tho. Something was going on with Silva. Seriously think about it? I think a rematch would be good for both fighters. I think Silva would destroy him this time... But it's only my five cents...

well Takase hasnt fought since 2006, so slim chance at a rematch.

He seemed to have perfect anticipation in that fight. Both with the perfectly timed sway tackle when Silva was leaning forward and with the flawless triangle when Silva was sweeping.

Great fight. I do want to complain a little though - I hate these edited fights! Am I the only one that really enjoys seeing the transitions? This video should be titled "clips from silva vs. takase".

weird seeing Silva lose, though it makes sense, with that mustache. Once he realized that the stache was sucking his power and affecting his timing, he was unstoppable.

I don't understand why people say "Oh he never looked like himself that night" ... you loose you loose.. MMA is a very unpredictable sport. I'll give Takase his credit for being the better man that night.. even though he's not known for being that great.

Ummm, they were both Pride fighters before going to the UFC. SO it would be ridiculous to say such a thing.
