Yes, Sylvia is bigger than Fedor - but 90 % of his fights he was the smaller fighter - the last time fedor fought more than 2 rounds was in 2005. The last guy he fought was 7'2" that's 14" taller than Fedor. Sylvia last two losses were to smaller fighters Couture 6'1" and AR Nogueira at 6'3". It's gonna be a beat down.; May 21, 2008 8:59 PM

Knowing Fedor, he doesn't take any fight lightly, and i'm sure this'll be no acception. He'll be ready to go the distance or look for that quick submition.

Sylvia will have to up his game and really dig deep with in himself to defeat Fedor. I think Sylvia is a good fighter but isn't consistant enough with his wins. With that said, if he wins he'll gain a huge amount of publicity and much deserved respect. If he loses, not too much will change for him. He has a lot to gain and not much to lose in this fight.

The fight plan for Sylvia seems pretty standard. He'll use his range to poke Fedor and set up a right straight for the knock out.

I don't see Fedor backing down in the striking game. He probably won't be going for the knock out, but more so to setup a take down. But to be honest, Fedor has such a versatile game its hard to say what he'll do.

At 6 ft 11 is considered perhaps the greatest K1 fighter of all time, so far greater at striking then Sylvia, and adding an extra 3 inches to the frame. Fedor defeated him in his first ever Pride match and this was a less experienced Fedor. Every guys has a punchers chance and event better a submitters chance... you leave a limb out there or lose concentration BANG..its over... So to say Sylvia has no chance is dumb. However, all things concidered lil Timmy's going to lose by submission in the first, like all of his fights.

Instead of this fight they should have made Randy vs Fedor. The way i see it this is starting to go the same way boxing did when fighters took charge. Fedor's wrestling is much better than Timmy's. Timmy is good when he sprawls. Fedor isn't big on single and double leg takedowns so this will be no Jeff Monson snoozefest.

Fedor Will annihilate him on the ground. If they are on the ground it is over. If Timmy is on top its over in a minute, maybe two. If Fedor is on top 30 secons tops.; May 22, 2008 10:15 AM
