Dream is doing the one thing I hated most about pride.

WHY DO THEY CUT FROM THE FIGHT TO THE STANDS? It's absolutely a terrible way to edit a fight. No one cares if the fans are going nuts- we can hear them. At least just show the fans during the fight breaks.

So Annoying.

BS Judge bias! The winner did 0 damage and almost got knocked out in the first round from getting kicked in the face!

that was awesome... I was rooting for JZ in this fight, which is why I probably had it a draw going into the last round. But Aoki definitely was able to pull out the win in that last minute. Great showcase of skills for Aoki, neutralizing JZ the whole fight and then putting him in some serious trouble towards the end.

great fight.
again technique overcomes power.

OMG AWESOME!!!! AOKI IS SUCH A SNAKE IN THE FLOOR! DUDE HE COMPLETLY DOMINATED GZ, GZ GOT OWNED MMA STYLE!

Thanks for the upload mate :)

That was total bullshit. The guy spends the whole fight attempting ineffective submissions, only one of which comes anywhere close to working, and the judges give him the victory. I hope to see him get the crap beaten out of him in the future.

HOW TO GET DREAM PPV ANYONE KNOW? I WANNA SEE THEIR FIGHTS, AND THEY SURE DESERVE MY MONEY, LOOK AT THAT CARD!!! AND THE LAST ONE OWNED TOO! DREAM = NEW PRIDE! MMA IS SAVED FROM THE TUF NOOBS!!!!!!!

Oh my god someone just kill me, plz upload the jacare fight.. now THAT IS BJJ! MASTER Level.. omg total domination.... also upload the kang fight :)

Probably the worst fight I've ever seen, wow since when does laying on your back for at least 15 minutes of that fight throwing leg kicks give you a win, wow. At least calvin was trying to fight, all aoki did was lay on his damn back. That was so unfreaking believably annoying to watch.

aoki... is skilled and knew exactly what he needed to do to pull out a win.
i believe that if the fight was in a cage JZ would have taken it.

I don't like the way they do the rounds in DREAM.

Wow awesome fight! Thanks for this great blog man!

fun fight to watch, but the ending leaves me so unsatisfied. I was rooting for Aoki, but hoped for a more definitive finish b/c of the controversy over JZ-Aoki part I--where JZ was clearly dominating, and the N/C stoppage was very questionable.

that omoplata was crazy! Shinya is the master

JZ landed some strikes in the beginning but thats it.. Aoki dominated the entire fight.

Aoki clearly won, but it was due to stupid strategy from JZ. Why try to GnP a grappler like Aoki? Make him stand up!

Totally unsatisfying and boring win for Aoki.

A rediculous display of an ineffective "ring style" martial art. Laying on your back for 10 mintues doesn't win fights. It's no wonder American audiences got fed up with Pride.

under the japanese judging criteria, Aoki wins. in the UFC, same exact fight, JZ wins just cause he was on top most of the time.

Aoki sucks. Guy was afraid to fight.

great display of the rubber guard by aoki, eddie bravo is a hero!

I bet most saying the fight was boring etc are americans. God, no offense to educated americans (you know who you are) but i would dare to say most mma american fans are total idiots that dont understand the first thing about mix martial arts. Its in the name dummy, aoki used incredible technique to overcome great strenght disavantage. GZ is just a beast at that weight class, the dude supported a standing bareneck shoke for 10 minutes for god sake, the difference in power was amazing! Now this is quality mma for you idiots that cant see quality even if it shoved up your rears! They arent supposed to trade punches until one of them is half dead, and not all fights should end with a guy getting ko. That is not the goal, the goal is to prove who is the best warrior in a combat involving all martial arts. Thank god japonese mma fans are civilized and understand the warrior spirit, and the sacrifices a fighter does to be there. They make us fans look like savages. And maybe thats what they really are. I am a fighter myself and if i had the change to fight in japan i definitely would!

Some people clearly have no idea of what MMA is all about. Aoki dominated the fight -- he caught JZ back and holded for severeal minutes, and his high guard was dangerous at all times in the 2nd round. It was a great display of techinique, mostly bjj by the way.

Both are great fighters, and Aoki deserved to win.

ps - the jacare fight can be seen on www.tatame.com.br

This just goes to show you that JZ got no skillZ nigga, he got owned by a master!!!
Go back to school JZ and learn some technics besides that boxing game!!!!

looked like that needed another round to pick a clear winner

Well, that would be true if he had actually OVERCOME anything. But he didn't. He inflicted no damage. He spent the whole time trying submissions that did not work.

I agree completely with this. That's why the UFC could buy PRIDE but they couldn't buy the Japanese spirit. In a few years you will see DREAM surpassing UFC and believe me, that would be a good thing. At least 2 DIFFERENT big ORGS are needed.

"He spent the whole time trying submissions that did not work."

So? JZ spent the whole fight trying to do things that didn't work either.

I can't believe some of the stuff I'm reading in these comments.
For those of you who wanna rob Aoki of his win, thank you for showing everyone you know crap all about MMA.

Having a cry about how Aoki took it to the ground, and wont here. I suggest you watch kickboxing or muay thai then. He won, fair and square.

I was hoping/ expecting JZ to win, but he played Aoki's game the entire fight. He could have (tried anyway) to keep it standing but everytime Aoki was on the ground JZ stayed there with him. Oh well. We'll probably see a rematch in the future.

On to the semi finals. I'm hoping to see a Aoki/ Hansen fight in the finals though.

absolutely beautiful. amazing display of the skill involved in mma. amazing thing when a guy legitimately wins a fight while intentionally trying to spend most of it on his back.
