I think generally, it's seizures caused by brain trauma. Not sure what the details are of why it happens.

That's disgusting.

It's really not the "best knockout ever" because it's not the KO that is special. It's the way the guy reacted on the ground and, I don't know, but anyone that feels like that's a beautiful sight to watch is somewhat demented.

Just looked like a seizure from a mild concussion. Looks a lot worse than it really is. What was amazing to me was that the winner held back on what could have easily been a death blow... many fighters would have thrown that last punch but he had the grace to know the gig was up and not inflict unnecessary punishment.

Yup, I agree that the 'greatest' part of the KO was the punch that he *didn't* throw. My God, he would have killed him! How he checked that punch was incredible.

It's pretty bad:

"Seizures are usually an indication of a more severe concussion.[1] Seizures that occur shortly after a person suffers a brain injury may further damage the already vulnerable brain. [2] They may reduce the amount of oxygen available to the brain,[3] cause excitatory neurotransmitters to be released in excess, increase the brain's metabolic need, and raise the pressure within the intracranial space, further contributing to damage.[2]"

Saying the frank, I was curious too what happened to this guy. After a short inspection I've found him on a site, and though I found nothing about his case of injury, a later match of his is recorded. So, It seems that no serious damage has happend to him, and won a fight with submission 4 months after this KO.
