lol so we're calling bj going to pride as losing focus? ufc owns pride..why are we still pussy footing around like this is wwe vs wcw, not trying to say the other feds name to give them credit for the company.

ugh. another attempt to de-emphasize the effect of pride on mma by the ufc.

who cares about pride or ufc...let's talk about this fight...i sense a complete dismantling of stevenson by bj. it's hard to tell if bj is really taking his career seriously now. i suspect so. if the same bj shows from the second pulver fight, forget about it...if he stays focused, he will rip through the 155 lb. class.

Penn fought in K-1, not Pride.

K-1 not Pride!

stevenson will wreck bj

bj is overrated, stevenson is underrated

I agree that Stevenson is under-rated, but if he wins, which I hope he does, it will still be an upset.

wow what a completely uninformed community here...stevenson will wreck bj??? i won't even bother...

uninformed?

for some reason theres a shitload of bj penn nuthugging going around as of late

hes lost 3 of his last 5 fights, he hasn't beaten anyone of mention in the last 3 1/2 years, jens pulver is good but he isnt really meant for 155

every good fighter loses once in a while (ie GSP), but BJ Penn loses a lot, and when he wins its really not that impressively

hes finished 2 fights in the last 4 years in ufc, all the rest go by decision...hes not even an exciting fighter

Yes uninformed, lost a lot of fights? um lets see he lost to lyoto machida at LHW, Lost to pulver (many see this as a fluke), Lost to GSP (Considered teh best Welter in the world), and Matt Hughes (Considered top 3 Welters in the world)

Oh and didnt GSP win by Split? Many MMA experts saying Penn should have won the fight? and Didnt Penn Submit Hughes going up in weight class and only loosing because he broke 2 ribs but up to the point he was winning?

Oh and lets not forget one thing BJ PENN only fights the best, umm lets see Gomi, Uno? to name a few he rarely fights scrubs?

And one last thing THIS 2ND Round REAR NAKED CHOKE Should prove why he is top 5 POUND FOR POUND fighters in the world.
