Thanks for posting these fights. A lot of us MMA fans benefit from your efforts. I've tried to watch some Sylvia fights and they've been removed. Can you get any Sylvia fights before the next UFC? Keep up the good work.

The Swick-o-tine works!

Did you notice how he had (a) the time, and (b) the presence of mind to get Rigg's right arm out of the mix before pulling guard?!! I think Joe got more jacked up from that kick than we could tell from the cameras.

I've been sitting here surfing various mma sites and keep seeing articles on the UFC welterweight division and how "stacked" it is and i feel the need to throw in my 2 cents worth. In my opinion the division is a wreck waiting to happen. For starters I think it can be safely said that the division is owned by GSP. Matt Hughes had a long run but in his own words he only has a couple of fights left. He's gonna fight Matt Serra sometime late this year and depending on the outcome, because I can see Hughes losing that on Serra is good I just think he peaked too late in his career he won't be getting much better than he is now, Hughes will either retire or take one more fight cuz Hughes won't retire on a loss. Serra is no fluke but as I said he's peaked, even if he pulls off another upset on GSP he won't be around much longer, I mean he's fought his career at 155 he's at 170 now because I don't think he can maintain 155 anymore he'll take his 15 minutes and walk away. That leaves GSP as the sole owner of the welterweights. There's plenty of other talent in the division but lets be honest, Jon Fitch, Marcus Davis, Karo Parisyan, Josh Koscheck, those guys don't hold up to GSP, Kos got beat at his own game and really the only exciting fight in that mix is with Karo. The problem is that in this game it's almost traditional that there is a "ladder" to climb to get to the top and at this point all those guys are on one rung somewhere in the middle and GSP is at the top with nothing between them. The sorry thing is that when UFC acquired Pride the only thing they could do was bulk up their Lightheavy and Heavyweight divisions, Pride had no decent lighter fighters, except Anderson Silva and one other fighter I'll be getting to. The latest season of TUF gave us a welterweight winner who is dropping to lightweight, UFC hasn't acquired any decent welterweights for a while. Mike Swick debuts tonight at 170 and I think he'll do extremely well at 170, but if he dominates at 170 and we see him fight GSP(fingers crossed) doesn't that leave the same situation just leaving empty space between the top and middle fighters in the division. The only thing that comes to my mind is why hasn't UFC tied down one of the greatest fighters in MMA. A guy who made Pride exciting, fighting and winning against guys who had some 20 lb advantage over him, a guy with wins over almost every Gracie, Quinton Jackson, Guy Mezger, Ken Shamrock, Kevin Randleman, and Carlos Newton, a guy who fights at a, well, chubby 183, yeah I'm talking Kazushi Sakuraba. Why hasn't UFC tied him down to a contract at 170? I understand he's getting up there but why not have one of the greatest fighters in history thrown into a lighter weightclass. Combat sports have always had trouble keeping people interested in the "little guys", Sakuraba is a guy who fights with respect and a fighter like that makes for exciting fights. Give him a title shot and if he loses, so what, you would have an exciting fight and not only that but more exciting fights to come with a fighter who frankly would make a beloved gatekeeper for the fans. That should be the guy you have to pass through to get to the top. That should be the guy who "makes or breaks" your career.
