The UFC welterweight division is maybe only eclipsed by the light heavyweight division as far as all-around talent. These 2, Fitch and GSP are now the cream of the crop. Of course there's also still Matt Hughes who could maybe still beat everyone besides GSP. Also Josh Koscheck is certainly no slouch. This is one of my favorite divisions, the question is will anybody be able to beat Georges St. Pierre after he takes his belt back!

i know it would never happen, but i would love to see bj penn and gsp meet at 162/3. i think a fully committed bj could take gsp. otherwise looking at the field of candidates, gsp doesn't have much competition.
any way you could get don frye v. ken shamrock... it's a classic.
great site and i absolutely agree with you on the welterweight division. i think of the three top guys other than gsp (serra, karo, fitch), karo's style matches up the best for an upset. With this judo style takedowns, he might be the only guy that can put him on his back.
hmm, hughes is in the same place rich franklin is in. he can beat everybody outside of the top guy.
GSP is looking pretty unstoppable, I don;t think serra will get lucky again

Serra didn't get lucky, he tagged Gsp with 3 or 4 bombs.
Gsp's biggest strength is his wrestling. Someone who has great submission skills(Serra, B.J.) he might be a little hesitant to take them down. If they can offer a good standup, as Serra did and B.j. did in his fight against him, that's how you beat him. Against a ground and pounder i don't see gsp losing ever after what he just did to Hughes.
Is there any way you can get the very first UFC evnt ?.
the GSP of old already beat BJ Penn so how would BJ take on the new and improved GSP olympic calibre wrestling. BJ would get crushed in the later rounds
Man whats with all the non mma fighters who think gsp cant be beat again? MATT SERRA did it once and he can do it again,just like mat hughs can beat gsp again.
If you guy's ever did fight then you would know anyone can win or lose at any time during a fight.
Matt Serra hits hard and is a good fighter thats why he won the first fight,lucky punch it was not.
Someone please tell me what a lucky punch is?If you guy's think that was all luck then you also must think that any punch landed in a fight is luck.
I understand how much gsp is liked but that should take nothing away from Matt Serra and his win over him.I see alot of this from guy's who have never trained or fought in mma but act like they know what its all about.I respect any fan who as a fav fighter and wants him to win,there is nothing wrong with that,fans should suport there fav fighter.Im sure the guy's who talk all this crap about Serra are the same guy's who love a fighter when he wins but then as soon as he gets beat one or two times they say he is done with fighting and he lost what he had.I see this alot with the web fighters.Chuck,Randy,mirko crocop ext
