I thought I would comment on the Lightheavyweight division and the confusing state its in right now. The division is loaded with talent and is filled with what I think are obvious match-ups that aren't being made. First up I'm a fan of Forrest Griffin but I don't understand how he gets a title shot and a coaching spot on TUF. If tough is going to be about the middleweights then Dan Henderson and Anderson Silva should be the coaches and just push the fight back a while, give it the hype it deserves, that's a huge fight. From what I've seen with Jardine getting the decision over Liddell and Griffin submitting Shogun is that we need more fights to decide who's up to for a title shot. Here's what I think should happen:

Forrest Griffin vs. Keith Jardine 2-after both recieving a win and loss since their fight we need to see this one again.

Rashad Evans vs. Thiago Silva
-both seem to be doing well and would test each other accordingly

Shogun Rua vs. Lyoto Machida
-that would just be fun to see and would give Machida a run at someone who has the wins to back up the hype behind them

From there give Chuck Liddell the winner of Griffin/Jardine2 for a big fight either way and give Wanderlei Silva the winner of Rua/Machida. Silva and Liddell are both huge draws and these fights might ignite the make or break situation that is needed in their careers, both possibly getting a chance to avenge losses. Thiago Silva and Rashad Evans are in a limbo state and need a good fight to elevate themselves. Regardless of outcome Thiago should fight the loser from Griffin/Jardine and Evans the loser from Rua/Machida. This would give them both an equally good opponent to step up to, and possibly elevate their careers to the next level. Let the winner of Liddell vs. Griffin/Jardine and Silva vs. Rua/Machida fight and then we will have a #1 contender that makes sense, aside from the juggling that could be done to make fights between all these fighters afterwards. Throw in Houston Alexander down the line and the division will start to shape itself. That's just the way I see it, let the fighting decide who's on top, not the money, the money will come when you give the guys the chance to make the name for themselves (that seems to be in jeopardy for all of them as is).

I LOVE IT!

The problem is...you're using logic. Next thing you know you'll be talking about a playoff for college football instead of the current BCS system...and that's just crazy talk!
