Takanori Gomi vs Jens Pulver- Lightweight Battle

This is a good fight from Pride Shockwave 2004, one of my favorite Pride DVD's with Ryo Chonan vs Anderson Silva, Wanderlei vs Hunt and Fedor vs Nogueira 3 plus Randy Couture was a guest announcer. This fight was sent to me in an email, thanks to whoever sent it.

even though by all evidence it would seem Jens is well past his prime... I'm still looking forward to seeing him at 145 in the WEC.

Nice KO.

I'm surprised that they both looked gassed a little in that amount of time.

Thanks for posting.

How can you be surprised that they both looked gassed? That was a hell of a lot of action in such a short time. It was like 6 minutes of non stop punching.

Pulver really got abused in PRIDE. First fight against Gomi, who is pretty much impossible for a striker to beat. Then he later had to fight Sakurai. Out of his 4 fights in PRIDE, two of those fights were against the #1 and #2 of the devision.
