I was gonna post a Wanderlei fight, but I found this fight and couldn't resist. This is an amazing fight that for some strange reason was on the undercard of UFC 49 and this is after Nick Diaz knocked out Robbie Lawler. Nontheless this fight was the star of the show despite having the amazing knockout of Josh Thompson by Yves Edwards(which I'm hoping to find and post soon), the fight below this one- Liddell/White and Randy Couture vs Vitor Belfort.

another great fight but 30-27 for the split wtf. It would be sick if you could find the sanchez and diaz fight, IMO one of the greatest ground fights in recently memory

Great fight, I'm a big fan of Karo but I can't understand how anyone scored that 30-27! Keep up the great work!
I'm always less than impressed with the actual damage that Karo puts out. I guess that's okay, but I really like the amount of damage that guys like GSP do.
IMHO Karo didn't win. He took Nick down yeah but how much damage did he really do? Look closely at how many time he really hit Nick in Nick's guard. Karos loves the lay 'n pray. But w/e I'm not a Judge.

P.S. Karo's a dick, watch the episode of TUF where he just fucks with Nate for nothing, and trys to act all hard and then trys to look like the good guy.. Karo's a good talent but as a person, I hate the guy.
Yeah I was waiting for karo to launch some type of impressive attack at the end of round 2, but it never came. I don't see how anybody could say that he won that round.

typical bullshit UFC judging. the only round that was clearly won in this fight is round 2 by diaz. rounds 1 & 3 are both 10-10 rounds in my books. karo won because he got a bunch of takedowns. but why does he get points for takedowns if he doesn't do anything with them, like in the 3rd round? getting a takedown into another guy's full guard does not give you an advantage. all it does is change the dimension of the fight. i mean, you don't get credit for standups, so why do you get credit for takedowns? total bullshit.
to the dude above, agree with u to an extent in principle that takedwns are definately not the be all and end all and that ufc judges do rate them a bit to highly. however in this fight karo was very active on top and when punching is involved u can generate alot more power on top than on bottom so there is clearly an advantage. so when both fighters aren't doing a grt deal on there feet like in the 3rd round, the guy who gets the dominate position is going to win.
after reading the guys comments above(about takedwns and thought they were bullshite). (i am the same guy who posted just below this dude 2.) i wtched the figth again and tried to actually score the figth using a jiu jitsu pt system and 1 pt for punches but also taken into consideration who's in control. i have to say although karo worked hard he actually didn't land many shots. i actually gave the fight a draw , but if u were judging the fight as a whole diaz dominated the second round completely so he probably did more damage. but using round bases karo out worked him in the third probably and a draw in the first. wat a tough fight though. The judge who scored it 30- 27 karo should be shot, enough sed.
anybody who thinks karo didn't win needs to study the game. to the posters above: i don't get it...so scoring takedowns (karo) and not doing "much" with them is worse than throwing a lot of punches (diaz) and not doing much with them. landing jabs is much easier than taking somebody down. simple. diaz did nothing with his striking and let's count how many time karo took him down. good decision.
