Merry Christmas to you too
yes, have a merry christmas!
and since youre making hl now
i think you should really do a best of 07 vid
Haha, love the contrast of the video and music. Great!
Merry christmas to you too!
good try at this video making
I have an advice for you,
stop making these videos cause they are trash
no offence
Then dont watch them. Simple as that. He probably makes it for himself to share it to you all. Don't be an asshole.
Liked the video. It was entertaining to see highlights from different times in the sport, but I think a 2007 specific video would resonate better.
keep 'em coming
yeah what stephen said... take a fucking walk no one asked you
That really was great! I love the Shamrock clip! Good job!
lol pathetic video. just stick to posting fight videos dude some people just dont have it. merry xmas!
i thought that vidio was great!!
Good video thx.
who's singing the first song of have yourself a merry little christmas?
I enjoyed it, that last fight was hilarious!
People need to save the ignorance for Sherdog...for real.
The video was fine, unlike douche's have said and will say, maybe he didn't understand that it was a christmas video, thus is why it had christmas music...
Ignorance is bliss, and theres alot of happy people in the world. lol
lol, I like that you are getting into it, but seriously, this is a bit much aleady. stop it
Awesome video, ignore the trolls on here. The Shamrock/Baroni fight is hilarious
Bravo! BY FAR the best of your three videos. posted earlier, the contrast between music and the fighting was hilarious and extremely appropriate for the time of year.
yeah, its nice that you are getting into it, but get these things rated from 1-10 before you decide to post them
ignore the trolls, seriously, they have no basis for criticizing you because you not only did this as a gift but you did a good job. You gave us some really good highlights from fights we know and love - and you caught some of the great facial expressions and the agony etc and it was just great...
...i never heard it to Xmas music before but it worked. Especially when Shamrock put the guy to sleep and the song was talking about going to sleep.
Rock on... ignore the trolls, they don't even mean it, they just do it because they know they'll get more attention from it than anywhere else in their miserable lives.
Merry Christmas,
Sam
i don't want to sound disrespectful. but the video was terrible, nice effects and stuff but you keep picking the worst songs. its a good song. but its a bad song choice. song was all happy and calm. there's nothing calm and soothing about MMA hahaha. i don't want to come off as a jackass. i love your site. i don't think it would be fair for me to lie to you, that's all.
the video was terrible.
- Merry Christmas =D
This one is technically better than your first but it suffers a lot of the same problems.
First you are losing your narrative. Going from a stare down to a KO to another KO to a long fight sequence. The images should flow and tell a story not just be random. You had the start of a consistent theme with your second song but didn't really flesh it out. Really, there are all sorts of fun things you could do with silent night. You also don't have to stick with the same fights. You tend to try and show an entire fight but a lot of times it's too much and it leads to long clips and a loss of tempo.
Secondly, it's "AN MMA Christmas"
Finally, you go out on a limb when you choose atypical music and these songs made it damn near impossible to put out a decent product. The songs you chose are slow (which is fine, juxtaposition is a valid strategy) and they lack dynamics (this is not fine) The only way this video would have been successful is to be much shorter. Look at Boondock's "Third Man". Yeah he uses a Cold play song, but it works because the song has dynamics that keep it interesting and allow the story to flow. Again, you can use the songs you chose but the video would have to be shorter or people will lose interest.
And definitely don't listen to the people who tell you to stop. Just make sure you have a vision of what you want to create before you start.
If you're asking, I don't even watch the highlight vids. I love your site for my daily fix of fights. Nothing personal, I'm not a fan of highlight videos at all. Do what you want, please just don't let the videos obscure what has made your site so successful. Don't let the highlights get in the way of the fights is all I'd like to add for my two-cents.
Uuughhh???!!!!
I just came across your site and it's great btw! But what the hell is with people giving 'critique' on your videos? This is the internet, you can do what the hell you like, thats the point!!! "Oh sorry that chord change doesn't quite fit in with that uppercut' Whaaaaat?!!!!
Keep up the great work and have a Happy New Year!!
I liked the clips chosen to summarize and show your interpretation of the fights, good job.
