Matt Serra vs Chris Lytle- The Ultimate Fighter 4 Finale

I've got many requests for this fight.

I'm trying to find the bantamweight fight from WEC last night, it was crazy, I'll post if I can get it. If anyone has a link to it let me know in the comments.

Dont understand why people would request that fight as it had little to no action stand up nor ground

boooo! Chris Lytle controlled that fight. i guess the reffs were really impressed with the foot stomping skills serra displayed.
thanks for posting this.

I'm not sure I've ever seen two fighters do less to earn a victory. Unfortunately one of them had to win.

Matt Serra really don't deserve to be a Champion he got look with JSPierre .
Just take a look how many fight he had. the last fight was maybe 7 mouths ago.
And Spider Silva fights every 3 mouths to defend the title !?

oh man, I understand Lytles frustration but Matt really did most of the work.

I'm sure to many MMA enthusiasts who watch it for the science of the sport, they were both working hard and it's not easy to do even what they did. But as a fan who also watches for entertainment, I kind of expected more than this from both of them.

I'd never seen that fight before. I personally think Lytle won. Although Serra had him against the fence he landed the most punches defended a ton of take downs and took Serra down. All Serra did was press him against the fence and take him down one time.

That was the most anti-climactic fight ever. I guess you can't win a fight by defending takedowns...

Please delete this shitty ¿fight? JAJA
And Serra clearly lost.

i'm glad i'm not the only one who thought lytle won. i remember watching the fight way back and being really disappointed with the decision.

I watched that fight three times now, and still don't know how Serra won. What a shitty shitty fight. Sad that because of that horrible fight, a horrible decision was made to award Serra the win. And because if that decision, a third rate fighter will have messed up the Welter weight division for nearly a year. Can't wait til GSP or Hughes finally put Serra out of MMA for good. He's a disgrace.

One of my concerns about TUF is that after the UFC has invested money in promoting / creating a name, it is then in the UFC's interest that the "invested" fighter continues to win. If they loose the UFC looses money because the fighter is no longer as big a draw.

Whats my point:
Chris Lytle clearly won that fight, but the UFC has more $$$ invested in Serra. So surprise the decision is awared to Serra.

If this were isolated then fine but look at Bisping / Hammil which is exactly the same. Hammil won that fight on all levels and ALL fans know it even the Euro-fan-boi's.

Bisping is a TUF investment also hmmm.

Now Rashad Evans, he is a good fighter but his wins are not that impressive...

Point is there is multiple precedents like this Serra fight and in most cases the TUF fights seem to get VERY generous Ref scoring.

after seeing this fight and the serra vs karo fight.. i cant honestly see how people can say that serra stands a chance against gsp in a rematch or matt hughes in the future.
