Thanks for the boxing fight.
I've said this a few times now, but you're the man.
The links to the other blog video sites (Wrestling/Documentaries) are also greatly appreciated.
I'm sending lots of people your way.
Keep it up,
Evan
Wow - I'm really glad you posted this because it just reminds me how completely AWFUL boxing is compared to MMA. Two complete nobody's fight in MMA (Jrock and War Machine) and it's a million times better than this boring ass fight. I watched the first round and a half and was forced to fast foward to the end of the clip to see if there's was even one good punch in this 12 rounds of boring. :P
as always, great site.... I even enjoyed the boxing match! I just can't believe that Mayweather claimed he could fight anyone in the UFC. If he bent over as much as he did in this fight he would be eating knees and kicks in the teeth all night :) I think Dana White offered him a chance, but he has yet to take it, which is smart for him....
Thanks for posting this fight Rich.
PBF will never fight in MMA because of money alone. PBF got paid $10 million for the de la Hoya fight plus an additional $7-8 million after ppv bonuses. I believe he got a similar purse in this fight (but with less ppv bonus cuz i think this one won't be able to top the de la Hoya fight in terms of ppv buys). In comparison, Randy Couture gets $250 000 per fight plus like an additional $700 000 in ppv bonuses maybe. That is a stark contrast.
Now the way I see it, Dana White would have to offer PBF even more money than he gets in boxing in order for him to fight in the UFC. I mean, why else would he train MMA unless he was getting more dough than in boxing. So that would be roughly $20 million for the fight. There is no way in hell the UFC would pay him that much for 1 fight. In fact, thats probably what the UFC pays all of its fighters total over the course of a year.
Great upload on the mayweather/hatton fight, as well as the K-1 GP. I am amazed every time I see Mayweather fight. His hands are just so amazingly fast, its no wonder why he feels he can take on MMA fighters. He'd probably have a good chance for some quick KOs if his MMA opponents weren't smart. But come on, you'd have to be an idiot to try to stand with mayweather. Most likely he'd get taken down and submitted off the opening bell. Hatton is a great fighter as well and I wouldn't mind seeing another bout or two between him and mayweather.
