It's kind of funny watching kickboxing after having seen a lot of MMA videos recently. All these guys have to do to bail themselves out when they're in trouble is clinch and wait for the ref to separate them. I can't help thinking that a decent MMA fighter would just destroy any of these kickboxers.

But I'm sure the truth is more complex than that.

Semmy Schilt vs Jerome Lebanner
A little bit of explaination if you don't speak french:
After the first round, Jerome went to his corner and keep saying "J'arrete, j'arrete. J'ai mal partout alors j'arete".
Which means:" I'm stopping, I'm hurt everywhere so i stop."
His corner kept on saying "No you don't stop no you keep going..."
When the second round started, Jerome just didn't want to fight anymore and he walk around trying to explain this to the judges or referee but noone seemed to understand, so awkwardly he started to fight.

Thanks mate for this nice upload! You are doing a fantastic work!

My two favorite fighters are Semmy Schilt and Jerome Le Banner. It's a shame one of them had to lose but Schilt is just way too big.

very cool, seems like some tough competition. I remember seeing Schilt's UFC fights way back when. He's definately found his place to stay in K-1. Also we get a glimpse of fedor's next "challenge". My opinion is that once taken down this guy isn't gonna be much different than a beached whale. Fedor needs some decent competition...

I don't get why Hong Man Choi is next up to fight Fedor. At 7'2 the guy will have no chance of stopping anyone's takedowns who isn't 7'2. Once he is taken down, I'm guessing he will have very little chance getting back up, because he doesn't look flexible or agile.

I think it makes a lot more sense to put real fighters against Fedor. I'd rather see Gonzaga, Congo (a tall coordinated guy, although he also doesn't have great takedown defense, but no doubt better than Hong Man Choi), Couture, Randleman, or Big Nog. I'd really enjoy a Rampage Jackson vs. Fedor. I don't care who, but at least a fight where it won't be so 1 way.

Well , seems to me that some guys thought those fights weren't good fights, don't know this event was GP - no weigh limit - and the champion had to fight 4 times on the same night.

I love MMA and i like kickboxing, but how said those fights weren't good just started to see fights a few time

thank you for those videos

Aerts is a beast, I wonder how much longer he can fight so frequently (and proficiently).

well hong man choi used to do ssireum wrestling which is a lot like sumo from what I understand. in both styles the objective is not to lose balance and let any part of your body besides your feet touch the ground. i imagine that would have a pretty big effect on his takedown defense.

The height thing can be overcome I think, which Akebono the 6'8" yokozuna proves.

Hong-Man doesn't have the knowledge or experience to threaten Fedor of course. Even in kickboxing he's only there because of his freakish proportions. His technique is pretty awful...
