I got a request for this fight. This is from UFC 51, Vitor was coming off of his loss to Randy Couture. A pretty close fight, but I thought it was pretty clear that Tito won the fight, not sure how it was split decision.
I just wanna say to everyone about the GSP/Hughes post(the post below), I wasn't trying to discredit the accomplishments or skill of Matt Hughes in any way. I was just simply having a hard time coming up with a title for the fight. That being said I think it was an incredible reversal from Hughes to pull off that armbar. The third fight will be fantastic, but as I said before I am leaning towards GSP for my pick, and I'll talk about why in the upcoming weeks.

Seriously, you need to stop apologizing to everyone. Quit qualifying your statements. It's OK to create controversy and disagreements. Grow some balls, dude. I LOVE your site, but I hate your groveling tendencies.
Hey guys, I agree that it is okay to create controversy and disagreements. But in this case I REALLY wasn't trying to do that because I am a Matt Hughes fan. I wasn't really apoligizing to anyone, I was just explaining that I wasn't trying to disscredit Hughes. If I didn't like Hughes then I wouldn't have said anything about it, but in this case I can see how the title could've been misconstrued. When I make a mistake I will own up to it. There are so many people that disagree with what I have to say and thats part of the fun. Anytime I explain myself its warrented in my eyes. Anyways Im glad you like the site and even though you gave me the BJ Penn "grow some balls" line, I cant fault you for stating your opinion.

The comment I made about the Hughes/GSP fight more stems from people always knocking Hughes on Sherdog. A lot of people over there constantly hate on him and put down his last few fights, so I usually rush to defend Hughes because I don't think he gets nearly enough credit from a good portion of MMA fans.
He went through a phase where he absolutely steamrolled almost anyone that stepped in the ring with him. He should be appreciated for that, and that ninja armbar Hughes slapped on GSP was almost Fedor-esque. Whether you like Hughes or not, that's fine, I was just posting my own opinion on it, no offense intended.
Also, just for the hell of it, some of the Hughes/Newton and Hughes/Trigg fights were great, I'm not really requesting it, per se, but some people on the site might like to see them if they haven't.
true that, from what I've read at sherdog since I started going there, seems like most people over there just judge a fighter based on their last fight. Chuck looses 2 and suddenly he's on the verge of being washed up for example. But yeah man, your website is great, I began following MMA seriously two years ago and this site has allowed me to see many of those fights that I'd heard or read about but have never seen. Thanks again and keep up the great work man.

In my eyes Vitor won Rd.1, Rd.2 was a draw, Rd.3 goes to Tito, hence your split decision.

tito unable to finish or damage a almost defenseless opponent.
good example for UFC hype of the past.
