By the way, they've started a non-professional MMA circuit in Rio (nevermind the mistakes, my english used to be better). Firts event took place yesterday. I think it's a great idea to help develop the sport we love so much -- you know, amateurs fighters, 16 year old guys... Fights go on with restrictions (no knees to the head, and some others), and fighters wear safety gears. Anyway, I just wanted to share the good news.

Richard, maybe one of those tools to block comentaries would be good around here. A friend of mine that runs a blog had the same problem. He instaled that tool and voilá -- problem solved. He checks the comments first; some of them go straight to the thrash, some get published. The point is: I just don't see why you should allow people to spread stupid messages (on racism, homossexualism etc.). They deserve not to be read.
That's the problem with internet. It's easy to be a tough motherf*er when you can go anoymous.

And yes, this fight is awesome. I'm a bjj fighter myself, but never liked Arona's style in MMA. He's a hell of a good grappler, that's for sure, but his striking abilities are obviously limited. You can see by the way he does not move his torso and shoulders when punching...

I like the two fights posted that are basically finished in one massive knockout move (shogun's punch and Rampage's powerslam). So cool. I really don't like Arona's style. What's with constantly falling on your back and pulling into guard. It was great to see him pay for using such a lame style.

This is a great fight, but I think the Rampage vs. Sakuraba one is better and is more deserving of the top 20. It is a prime example of technique overcoming strength and size.

It would have been premature if the Ref. stopped the fight after those kicks from the guard. It looked more like 'Page was clinching to avoid the shots.
