Anonymous said...: There are things I like about Serra and things that I hate. I mean he's a true underdog story come to life. He worked hard and beat GSP fair and square to become champ so I respect him for that. He also speaks his mind and always tells it like it is (in his mind anyways).

However, sometimes he goes overboard with what he says and overreacts. Like with the whole GSP situation and saying stuff about him being French and saying "fuck him i dont need friends like that" and all that. Also, he swears too much (this is also a problem i have with Dana White). If he's at home with his buddies or whatever he can swears till the cows come home for all I care. However, he is a champion and when he is on TV or radio or whatever he shouldn't really be speaking like that. There are still a lot of detractors of the sport and if a UFC champion goes around using so much profanity it doesnt reflect well on the sport. Also, he shouldn't resort to name calling. He seems fond of calling Matt Hughes a dick or prick or whatever. It's childish and as champion should be setting an example.

That being said, I'm not a of a Matt Hughes fan either. He rubs me the wrong way and I don't like the way he treats people sometimes.; October 21, 2007 12:49 AM
