Andersond dominated like i expected but i have nothing but the utmost respect for Rich and i feel bad that he lost. he is a talented fighter and class act. i hope he doesnt decide to retire. his work ethic and sportsmanship are things to be admired. this is the type of fighter i want my kids to watch. win, lose, or draw, Rich Franklin will always be a champion in my book.
Anderson Silva is a beast though. he always puts on exciting fights and (like Rich) is also very classy. pound for pound one of the best.

I CANT BELIEVE Rich Franklin lost once again to the MUA THAI CLINCH. After the first time, he should know better, but ended up getting dominated by the same old mua thai clinch. He certainly didnt learn from their first fight. Getting killed by the same move twice is pretty upsetting.
Silva is here to stay. Franklin is still one of the better MW though.

Hi, wonderful link. BUT the youtube screen shot (the screen where you click to play) already spoiled the video. It shows Franklin lying down and the ref stopping Silva. So we knew before clicking on play that Silva won.

Rich is not at his best because he cut too much weight. You can see it in his eyes. He should fight at 205.

I'm a big fan of Rich Franklin and even though I knew he was losing in the 2nd round I was still hoping he would win. However, I knew in my mind as well that Silva was going to win. I agree with the last statement about having a true mma background and not just being able to ground and pound. Why do you think fighters like Anderson Silva and George St. Pierre are so scary and talented? I'm also a big fan of Tito Ortiz but let's face it. He's one dimensional. This is also true about Matt Hughes and Chuck Liddell. Why do you think they are no longer champions today? Yes, Serra beat St. Pierre but anyone can also get lucky on any day and that's what's fun about mma. Finally, for those complaining about the no. of white guys in the sport, you don't have much to worry about in the next few years. Because, just like boxing you will see them slowly disappear and replaced by really talented non-caucasian mma fighters. Case in point, Anderson Silva middleweight champion and Quinton Jackson light heavyweight champion (this guy is not a true mma guy but he's gift is brute force which most current UFC guys in the lightheavy weight division will be unable to handle for awhile.
Furthermore, I'm not saying all caucasian fighters will disappear but rather only those really talented ones will be champions or contended for the championship. What we see today in the The Ultimate Fighter show is a bit of a joke. These guys are just a bunch of brawlers. The not so talented ones are the ones who fight as under cards or as tune up fights for the real talent.

I knew this was going to happen. Silva is just too athletic and more well rounded. Yeah yeah Rich's conditioning is second to none, but nothing negates ALL your training more than an ass whipping. I feel sorry for Rich. Dana White said Rich's career is now in limbo; can't fight guys below Anderson and surely can't keep getting rematches.

There's already talk of a third fight. My question is, WHY? Rich was clearly dominated in both fights. Unless Dan Henderson comes down to 185 (which he has stated multiple times he won't), then I predict Silva wil be champ for a long time. Leben got owned, Lutter got owned, and now Franklin twice. That makes two well-rounded fighters, and one brawler with a tough chin. Silva's resume just gets more impressive with every win.

Silva is great on the ground, the Nog brothers teach him BJJ, and besides travis got him to the ground twice, mounted him once, and still couldnt finish silva or keep him down, and travis is better at takedowns and has a better ground game than franklin (i also disagree with him being one demensional, but you think what you want)

i just have to say something. I only scanned the comments. I dont know why i never read the comments i just watch the badass videos that this guy puts up on here FOR FREE.
