With the Hendo vs Rampage fight coming up I wanted to put up a Hendo fight and his second fight with Wandy was an easy choice. This is a great fight with all aspects of MMA showcased by 2 of the best in the world. A great fight all the way through to the brutal Knockout.

It's utterly unimaginable that Silva lost this fight. But you could see, if you took the care & time to notice, that Wanderlei was not his usual self at the beginning of the fight. He is normally cranked up to the maximum; totally focused, intense, sometimes bordering on the insane. I didn't see that intensity in him, before the fight began. Also, if you study his face, when the fighters typically stare each other down, Wanderlei looked at Henderson almost casually; he definitely wasn't in Henderson' face like he usually is in all of his other fights. It made me wonder - why? I would love to see a rematch because Silva is the best there is, and on a normal day, he'd make mincemeat out of Danny-boy!
BTW: I discovered your site 3 weeks ago and I need to tell you how much I appreciate what you are doing! It's a lovely thing to find new fights on an almost daily basis, which you make available. Thank you doesn't begin to say it, but I Do want you to know I really appreciate your time and your efforts!

Hey Theodore thanks for your kind comments about my blog. I agree that Silva's staredown is not nearly as intense as it usually is, it does make you wonder a little. I agree that Silva would win 9 out of 10 times, especially if they were fighting under usual Pride rules, because nobody can beat Silva when your on the mat and hes staring over you ready to stomp your face in. I almost cried over this fight cause Im a long time Wandy fan, and for whatever reason I tend not to like Hendo or his Team Quest.
Actually I thought Hendo looked really good. Very calm, cool and collected. Wandy didn't out-box him as I would have expected. I thought Dan gassed a bit in the 3rd but that KO was pretty sweet. As much as I like Wandy, I'm happy to see Hendo take the win.

The fight is what it is. Hendo caught him right on the money. Sometimes that's all you need to win a fight. Timing was everything on that punch.
There is always a person who can beat you. Thing is you never know if you'll ever meet them.
Can't wait to see the "Rampage vs Hendo" match posted.

Actually, I agree that Wandy didn't look himself in the first and second rounds. But I thought by the third that he was looking more like his usual aggressive, focused self. He just got caught at exactly the right moment.

The first time I saw this fight, I almost went insane. I got so mad and started screaming at the tv. I couldnt believe that wanderlei had lost. I still think he is the best at this weight class though and I hope he destroys chuck so he can get a rematch with his long time hoe jackson.
we need a 3rd match in the ufc after silva KO's liddell.
wanderlei was VERY sick before this fight. he was in the hospital the night before.
rematch is in need.
